I struggle to gain weight like crazyyyy. However , I've been noticing alot of changes in my body from being more "aware of my diet" I am staying consistent now and keeping track of how many calories I'm taking in a day in order to gain and then maintain my weight. I currently weigh 137-140lbs and I am 5ft2in. My goal weight is a solid 150lbs💃🏿 • • • It's extremely satisfying and exciting when all of the hard work pays off and you start noticing the changes . It just takes time and consistency.🤸🏿‍♀️💕🏋🏿‍♀️Happy Wednesday loves

Lets talk alittle about "ego lifting" . Because ,I'm sure most people have experienced this at least once (including me ) , especially if you're a competitive person lol • • • But first, heres alittle background info about me🤸🏿‍♀️Honestly, one of the biggest reasons I love the gym is because of the people around me that I can use as motivation and compete with mentally. I love to not only push myself to be the best that I can be, but also make sure that I am always pushing myself harder than the people around me. • • 🗣🗣🗣Now by that I do NOT mean out lifting them with weight. But more so just pushing myself to do that last rep+alittle extra something something ya know?🏋🏿‍♀️. • • Now back to ego lifting. Ego lifting is when you try to lift heavier than you know you can just because of someone else has more weight on the bar than you ect ect. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 💥Skipping to the main point of this caption💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 DO NOT LIFT WITH YOUR EGO. Weight is just weight without good form and proper technique. 🤸🏿‍♀️It's okay to use other people as motivation to push yourself💕 🗣but what's not okay is to push yourself for all the wrong reasons. Consistency makes all the difference .🏋🏿‍♀️ Alot of people who exercise, specifically those who engage in weightlifting can relate to not seeing much of a difference in our bodies because we are always setting bigger and better goals every day. • • • Honestly, when I look in the mirror...I do not see the picture on the right at all(white & black shirt ). I see the old me and that's one thing that drives me to work harder. It's not a bad thing either... It's just a way for me to always be better than I was the day before. • • If you struggle with finding your motivation. One thing you can do is seriously sit down and think for a second to decide if you really want it or not? Because if you really wanted to be a healthier and stronger you or if you really wanted anything in life like a new house or car or those new shoes that mindset alone should be powerful enough feed your motivation and get you started on that path to reaching your goals!❤ Happy Tuesday everyone ❤

I've been making use of alot of Box squatting because it's just been killing my legs much more than normal squats. However last night both felt wrong and heavier than usual. • • Just last month I was re-adjusting my mental connection when I squat because I knew that I had a fear of failing myself ... I feared being weak and not being able to do something I knew I could do. However, I didn't know that that fear was making me fail even more. • • Moral of the story is, do what feels right for you and try your best to see when your pride is taking over. Sometimes we need to take a step back and just think and re-adjust ❤Time for a much needed deloading week.🏋🏿‍♀️ Happy Sunday everyone!!

💃🏿Today's workout: Terminal knee extensions-[2x20] Hamstring curls-Drop set until failure Goblet squats-[3×10] Kettlebell swings (not shown )[3×10] Leg press (not shown )[3×15] Close slightly elevated heel box squats[3×5] Wide stance box squats[3×5] -------- I first learned about terminal knee extensions(TKE ) at my physical therapy internship. It is a common exercise used by physical therapist to help strengthen the knee, and it is harder than it looks! Give it a try🏋🏿‍♀️ I went abit heavy here and I also had to be creative and make my ankle cable attachment multipurpose. However you could perform TKE with a Theraband --------- ❤💪🏿Happy FIT-Tuesday everyone!💪🏿❤
