WORK SHOP TWO⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Conceived as an abstracted dining arrangement with a running centrepiece, the exhibition is materially-driven and restrained. The tonal hues of Greg Wood’s abstracted landscapes complete the aesthetic tableau; an enticing composition to experience Barbera’s conceptual thinking and fine metal and timber craftsmanship. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Open Thursday or by appointment⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #workshopfionalynch

WORK SHOP TWO⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A grand dining table boldly occupies the interior, its sinuous solid bronze base expressing the liquidity of the metal casting process and the convergence of organic forms inspired by the natural world. At once aqueous, serpentine and skeletal, the base is hand-finished to give a burnished patina and topped with silvered American Oak.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Open Thursdays from the 8th of August, or by appointment⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #workshopfionalynch

WORK SHOP TWO⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Atop, a series of polished bronze sculptures rise from a scattering of remnant bronze and brass offcuts. Set against the rougher articulation of scrap metal, the lustrous sculptures invite contact and interaction, cranked and carefully suspended as if about to fall.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Open Thursdays from the 8th of August, or by appointment⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #workshopfionalynch

Middle Park House - In this residential renovation, we designed the kitchen as a series of loose joinery objects that can be moved for flexibility. A rich mix of materials – french green mirror, stone, brass and painted oak surfaces – were assembled to create a considered, yet relaxed space.

The beaten wrought iron frame of the Officina chair became focus for our reinterpretation of this iconic chair. The imperfect surface, that was hand beaten and built, made us discuss how beautiful it is to see an authentic traditional material. Working with local artist Jo Wilson, we removed the seat to incorporate other raw materials such as wood and leather. Working with these materials, we deliberately kept the detailing minimal to not detract from the beauty of the material themselves.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #cultchairity #fionalynch

The concept for our #chairityproject2015 was to explore Marcel Duchamp's mantra about the beauty in everyday objects. Our focus is that we need to protect the intellectual property of design here in Australia. The 'Series 7' chair has no protection from being copied. Working with mirrors we have shone a light on the chair's underside creating an artwork. #fionalynchinstallation
