Me and my Aunt Paula. I am so happy to have her back in my life. #fbf
#tbt of Randy in 2013. We had two doctors appointments recently and it was good news all around. There was no evidence in the ultrasound that the cancer is spread so we are going ahead with surgery to remove the tumor. Also the pressure in his eyes is down. ❤️ He is doing great. So happy.
We got some good news for Randy yesterday. His chest X-ray showed no signs of tumors!!! The vet was very happy and felt confident that the abdominal ultrasound will be clear as well, though we won’t know for sure until a couple weeks from now. In the mean time we are going to celebrate goodness and keep giving the love as his eye continues to heal. Thanks for the love friends!
Randy got his eye checked one week after surgery. They said he is exactly where he needs to be and was impressed by his lack of squinting. He does have a small cloud in the eye which will lead to a blurry spot in his vision, but knowing our other option was to have the eye removed all together I am alright with this. Next is his chest x-ray this afternoon.
Randy’s eye was not the only thing we were checking on at the vet last week. I just got the test results back that Randy has cancer. The first steps are to see if it has spread and how far. If not we can remove this tumor, and hope that it doesn’t come back, though it appears to frequently do so. My heart is broken. All we can do now is everything we can to make sure that he is happy and pain free for as long as possible. I will continue to give him all of the love I have. ❤️
Randy’s favorite vocation. He is enjoying prime couch spotage and being carried up and down three flights of stairs to go outside. He is doing great, not showing any warning signs we were given, he is getting less squinty and has less fluid around the incision. I couldn’t be happier with his progress. #bostons #bostonterrier #bostonterriers
Thank you everyone for your kindness. Randy made it through surgery and is now home. I will keep you guys updated as this will be at least a month recovery. Plus we were sad to learn that the lens is starting to slip and create pressure on the right eye as well. We will try to use preventative medicine to slow that process. Hopefully we will know more about possibility of permanent damage to the left eye next week, but they think we caught it early so fingers crossed.
