My kitty took over my jewelry photo shoot today! He really liked this necklace I guess! Going to name this one Josephine for Josephine Baker. A dancer and performer who was also a French spy in World War II and a made a huge impact in the civil rights movement marching & speaking alongside Martin Luther King at the 1963 March on Washington. She refused to perform for segregated audiences even after being offered $10,000 from a Miami nightclub. Thought that was a crazy story...could go on more about her but really an inspiring woman!!
Happy Friday everyone!! Any fun plans for the weekend? Sushi date night with my hubby tonight! & then work work work cuz next week I’m on vacay!! Going to Texas for a wedding! And then mini road trip to Austin TX. Any suggestions of some cool places to check out there would be much appreciated!! Xo
Wearing the “lavender lemonade” Barbie shoe necklace! This one is customizable. I have a billion Barbie shoes and can do so many color combos. Rainbow for pride, favorite sports or school team colors, or whatever you can dream up! Message me if you’re interested in a custom Barbie shoe necklace!! I can do earrings also! : )
Coming soon! Earring collection! I’ve been focusing a lot on necklaces lately because I haven’t been wearing earrings a ton...wearing ear pieces at work throws off my glam! But ya know gotta make that $$! I do love earrings and I know there are lots of earring lovers out there! Question though! What do you prefer hooks or posts?! The ones pictured have posts. I Will be making both but want to know if you like one more than the other! Comment below! ❤️❤️
Vivienne Necklace! Named after Vivienne Westwood one of my favorite fashion designers. She is the pioneer of making punk high fashion and uses her runway to expose the issues she believes in! Love her! This necklace is perfect for a bright sunny day. It’s gorgeous coral color will def turn heads!!
Paris Necklace. Yes I named after @parishilton ! I grew up watching her and @nicolerichie on The Simple Life & my husband and I just revisited it. We were sad when we finished the series because it was so fun! I wish they would bring it back! Ha! But anyway this one kinda reminded me of her current style always wearing lots of rhinestones and sparkle!
Happy Sunday everyone! Hope your having a fab weekend! What’s everyone been bingeing this week?! I am obsessing over @nailedit right now it is sooo funny!!! I literally cry of laughter! Tell me your faves!
New necklace alert! Named this one Teresa after my Aunt Terri! I’ve named a lot of my pieces after family members and I’ve been wanting to name one for her but I had to find the right one! She loves accessorizing and is a big supporter of my designs! Could definitely see her wearing this one! @terrivenzon ❤️
Kiernan Necklace. Okay I’ve been binging @sabrinanetflix starring @kiernanshipka and there is so much RED in these last few episodes which I think is my power color. I really Sabrina’s character in this show. She is strong and always pushing the boundaries of feminism. I love how she says NO when she needs to and breaks the rules when she knows its the best option for HER! Go Sabrina! 💋Anyone else loving CAOS right now!?
Jaqueline Necklace. This one I named after my MOM so figured I share this one on Mother’s Day. My mom is very simple when it comes to jewelry and accessories and def would not even wear this! She likes when I make her small pieces but she definitely fully embraces me and my crazy looks! She’s one of my best friends and is always there for me! I love my mom!! 🥰
Katherine Necklace. I named this super fun necklace after watching the movie “The Post”. I was inspired by Katherine “Kay” Graham for her keeping the media honest and standing up for truth even when it could have hurt her life and career. The necklace is made with a vintage soda water bottlecap and cute little retro gumball machine charms from the 50s and 60s. It’s sort of a nod to jewelry I used to make under the name Pinup Sodapop Jewelry where I worked with a lot of pinup girls and vintage inspired pieces. Tag some of your retro loving girls who you think would wear this! 💖
Feelin like a Queen! #youshouldseemeinacrown
Adele necklace. I think one of my friends named this one actually. But the Adele that comes to mind is obviously @adele Gorgeous and amazing voice. Her songs are timeless. Also I love her “give no Fs” attitude! I really love the colors in this necklace. The peach and green just kind of came together really naturally when I put this one together. I wear this one pretty often! What do you think?
OMG! @laurenloveserik looking so AMAZING in the Ethel necklace!! She has the best style! Look at that hair &makeup! And those nails 😍...I knew she would look great in this! Go check out her insta she has the best looks!! & check out the Katherine and Midge necklaces on my site if you want to rock a vintage bottlecap and charm necklace too! ❤️❤️
Verle II. I name a lot of my jewelry after inspiring women, some celebrities or legendary artists, but I also like to name them for my inspiring family and friends. This necklace is actually named for my GREAT grandma Verle who I’ve never met but have been told had a great fashion sense. And TONS of costume jewelry that was passed down to me. This necklace was made out of a bright green earring (the centerpiece ) and beads from the matching necklace. I had a Verle necklace already that sold and I’m sure with the amount of jewelry of hers I take apart to make my own, will not be the last!
The “Taylor” Necklace up close! I can’t get enough of this necklace! I’ve already worn it twice and have gotten a bunch of compliments. I named this one for @taylorswift ! Love her and her music!! Can’t wait for her 4.26 announcement. Hoping it’s new music!
Another new necklace! Gonna name this one Taylor after my girl @taylorswift I just LOVE her. I used to call her music a “guilty pleasure” but now I just fully embrace my love for tswift. And if her song comes on in the car I am unapologetically singing along terribly! Also very excited for whatever she has planned for the 26th!!! Hoping it’s a new album!! 🤞 Any other swifties out there?!
New necklace!! Finally made some new pieces yesterday! And I’m super excited about this one. I like that the colors are neutral so you can wear with anything but also because it is def a big statement piece. Neutral colors does not mean blending in with this one!! I even added some grey tulle pom poms which I think gives it a soft femininity. I named this one Georgia for painter Georgia O’Keefe who’s artwork has always inspired me. She’s best known for her large flower paintings and desert scenes. Tag someone you think would love this necklace in their jewelry collection!
My cat Linus LOVES yarn. He gets so excited when I make a yarn hanging because he gets to play with the yarn. When he’s tired he’ll just lay and watch me tie all the knots. He really does fit the cat yarn loving stereotype. I wonder why cats love it so much?! Does anyone know? Comment below if you do!
Aurora. I named this one after Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and also because I found it to be such a pretty name. The pinks reminded me of her dress in the movie. I made a similar one in blue the same day and it made me think of the part where her dress transforms colors in the dancing scene. This was one of my first necklaces I made that combined vintage elements with crystals and I reference it every once in a while when I make a new piece. The centerpiece was made with a vintage rhinestone clip on earring that sparkles endlessly. Double tap if you like this one as much as I do!! 💖
